Selena Gentile, LSW is a Licensed Social Worker specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy. With a unique blend of experience, Selena has worked with incarcerated adolescents with the Juvenile Justice System, adults and adolescents struggling with substance use addictions in inpatient and outpatient settings, and adults and adolescents working through the complex symptoms of experiencing trauma.
In addition to practicing privately, Selena practices full-time at a local non-profit agency which specializes in the co-occurrence of trauma and addiction. Prior to entering the field of Social Work, Selena had a successful career as a Corporate Trainer for a global legal publishing company. This combination of work experience allows Selena to collaborate with clients regarding their most critical concerns and endeavors.
Selena received her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, The State School of New Jersey with a BS in Labor Studies and Employment Relations, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Selena received her graduate degree at Rutgers University, The School of Social Work, where she graduated with a Master of Social Work (MSW), Summa Cum Laude. Selena is also a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society.
Selena has a passion for working with clients and assisting them in working through difficult situations and experiences while gaining the ability to reach their full potential. Selena takes an integrated approach using various modalities in order to provide the most appropriate, individualized, compassionate therapeutic approach to her client’s needs.
